Our Shipping Information

The purchase of alcohol by persons under the age of 21 is prohibited by law. You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase wine or spirits. By placing an order through our website, you are representing yourself to us as at least 21 years of age and that the person to whom it is being shipped is at least 21 years of age. We reserve the right to ask for proof of identity before processing an order.

New York City Delivery: For orders with a sub total of $700 or more, we offer flat fee delivery of $25.00 to New York City residential addresses only and deliveries within 3 business days. Typically made before 10:00am or after 8:00pm to avoid traffic.

We offer 4 shipping options:

Ground Service - approximately 2-5 business days in transit
2nd Day Air - 2 business days in transit
Next Day Air - 1 business day in transit
Courier service (Manhattan)

An email will immediately acknowledge receipt of your order, while a second email will confirm your order has been processed and is prepared for shipment. We will contact you by the end of the next business day if there is any problem with your order. While we make every effort to show accurate product listings on our website, Reader's Wine & Liquors is not responsible for typographical, pricing errors, and omissions. Cancellation: A restocking or cancellation fee of 10% will apply to any cancelled order that has been processed.

Please note that your shipping costs are estimated. Actual costs will be confirmed with you when your order is placed.

Weather Advisory: We do not recommend shipping wine in very warm or very cold temperatures. We reserve the right to delay the shipment to ensure quality of the product.  When it is a necessity to the customer, overnight shipping is recommended. We can hold your purchase at our temperature-controlled cellar until the weather conditions improve and safe to ship the wine, which is a service that we offer for free.

Due to NYS Liquor Laws, we are unable to ship Liquor out of NYS.
