Pretty dark garnet color with purple reflections. The nose is rich, complex on black fruits (blackcurrant, cherries and olives) with peppery and oral touches due to the high proportion of Syrah. The palate is full, dense, with herbaceous accents of southern plants (laurel, thyme even licorice-Zan-). Ripe tannins provide density in the middle of the mouth (plum). The whole despite the heat of the vintage remains on an impression of freshness (menthol): it is deep with a nice length in the finish. A magnificent wine capable of aging two decades or more!
Ripe, luminous wild strawberries and black cherry flavors explode from nose to finish in this hedonistic, intensely fruity blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre and Cinsault. It’s gorgeously primary in youth with a zesty mineral undertone, but is concentrated enough to improve, gaining earthier complexities through 2030 and likely further.
A perfumed nose of spiced cherries, forest berries, dried thyme, cloves and a touch of leather, too. It's full-bodied with creamy tannins and texture. Round with a velvety touch and a rich core of raspberries on the center palate. Some spicy character to the juicy finish. Drink or hold.
Gamy and earthy, with bright cassis and damson plum streaked with smoked meat, singed garrigue, violet and a note of tar. Boasts black tea tannins that hem in the round palate, with an iodine note and acidity providing balance. Shows sweet spices on the finish. Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault. Drink now through 2030. 2,000 cases imported
