This limited wine is an homage to James Dowdell, one of the early wine pioneers in Napa Valley. Vineyards were planted on the Soda Canyon site in Atlas Peak, Napa in 1870 and by 1872, James had opened a brandy house and winery. The winery closed during prohibition, but his legacy was already secured.
