A blend of 54% Cabernet Sauvignon and 46% Petit Verdot harvested from adjacent blocks and co-fermented, the 2019 Pure Magic Vine Hill Ranch features a characteristic hint of violets alongside cassis and black cherries. With all that Petit Verdot, the wine is medium to full-bodied and a bit less expansive on the palate than Tor's Cabernets, but it has a nicely refined tannin structure. Streamlined on the palate, it finishes long, with a gentle wash of dusty tannins on the lengthy finish. (Joe Czerwinski)
